Defining Moments

Watching This is England got me thinking about defining moments, the ones that shape us. For me, it’s photography.

I used to chase the “perfect camera,” but going through old photos, I realised my best shots were on a cheap, old family camera. Why? Because I was present, not obsessed with gear.

So I grabbed a 2005 Canon EOS 350D for £20. Heavy, quirky, imperfect, the autofocus breaks, every 10th shot errors but that’s what makes it magic. I have to slow down, look through the viewfinder, really think about each shot.

Stripping away the unnecessary has sparked my creativity in ways modern tech never could. Art isn’t about perfection, it’s about feeling.

Excited to share what I’ve captured so far. Sometimes, the best camera is the one you have with you.
